Mike Green is an associate with the firm.
Mike represents employers in a range of employment litigation, including harassment
and discrimination claims. He also counsels clients in an effort to strategically comply
with applicable employment laws.
Before joining Lehr Middlebrooks & Vreeland, Mike practiced labor and employment
law and general commercial litigation with a Birmingham, Alabama litigation defense
firm where he represented clients from a wide spectrum of industries. Prior to entering
private practice, Mike served as a law clerk to the Honorable William M. Acker, Jr. of the
United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
Mike received his J.D., cum laude, from the Florida State University College of Law
where he served as an editor of the FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY LAW REVIEW, as a
member of the JOURNAL OF LAND USE AND ENVIRONMENTAL LAW, and as a member of the
FLORIDA STATE BUSINESS REVIEW. During his law school tenure, Mike earned the Florida
State University Certificate in Environmental and Land Use Law, with honors, and was
honored with the Pro Bono Public Service Award. Mike received his undergraduate
degree in History from the University of Notre Dame.
Prior to commencing his legal studies, Mike served with distinction for six years as
an officer in the United States Navy with assignments in Jacksonville, Florida; San
Diego, California; and Norfolk, Virginia. He is the recipient of numerous medals and
commendations. Mike is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Veterans of
Foreign Wars, and has served as a children's tutor with the Birmingham YWCA.
Mike is admitted to practice before all Alabama and Florida state courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
