With more than 35 years experience with the Department of Labor,
Lyndel Erwin assists our attorneys in providing clients with analysis
and consultation concerning all of the laws and regulations enforced
by the Wage & Hour Division of the U.S. Department of Labor. During his career with the Department of Labor, Lyndel served as the District Director with responsibility for Alabama and Mississippi and earlier as the District Director in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Lyndel has handled a myriad of issues arising from the Fair Labor Standards Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Davis-Bacon Act, McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act, Walsh Healy Public Contracts Act, Employee Polygraph Protection Act, Migrant and Seasonal Workers Protection Act, and Wage Garnishment Act.
As a consultant for our clients, Lyndel conducts mock audits of
our clients' personnel records to ensure compliance with the various
wage and hour and public contract laws. His services include analyses
of compliance with record keeping requirements, determination of
exemption status under the FLSA, and review of payroll practices. Lyndel
also works with our attorneys to provide clients with assistance
in complying with the FMLA and Employee Polygraph Protection Act
requirements. Lyndel assists our attorneys in the defense of audits
and investigations performed by the Wage & Hour
Division of the Department of Labor.
